We all enjoy Android apps and games. And Now you an run most of these Android apps to Google Chrome. For this you need to have a software called App Runtime for Chrome, or ARC. ARC was designed for ChromeOS but a developer Vladikoff has created ARChon Custom Runtime to make it possible running Android apps on Chrome for Mac, Windows of Linux.
But it is not as simple as you have already started thinking. You will have to download and install this ARChon in your browser. It only supports Google Chrome 37 or higher version.
Installation is similar to the Chrome extension installation. Download the archive and unzip it. Go to extensions page in Chrome, navigate to menu -> Tools ->Extensions and enable developer mode. Then load the unpacked extension in your browser.
After the installation of ARChon, it will also display a warning message which you can simply ignore. Now you are ready to run the Android apps in your browser.
But you cannot simply run the Chrome apps. You will have to find Chrome apps which can work in Chrome. You can check these two links to download the APK.
Note: Please use APKs of only those apps which are available for free.
You can also generate Chrome packages from any APK on your phone by using Chrome APK Packager. Install the Chrome APK packager app on your Android device. For using this, you will have to enable side loading on your device. After installation of APK packager, run it. Select any Android app installed on your device.
After downloading the APK ZIP, extract the APK file. Now install this in the same way we installed ARchone. Go to the extensions page and use "Load Unpacked Extensions" button at top to install APK in Chrome. Now this app will appear in the Chrome Apps launcher page with app icon. Sometimes icon may be wrong so refer to the name. In case of any error message, you can avoid.
Now you can run Android apps in Chrome. It is not necessary that it will work for all apps. But most of the apps will work without any issue.
